IVY DOOMKITTY

NEW, buy this gorgeous print and many more at this link

In this blog post i wanted to turn it over to a fast rising, future super model, IVY DOOMKITTY....

 Hi, this is Ivy Doomkitty
I'm not what you'd call ordinary by any means. I spend the daylight hours cake decorating and
delving into books and comic books. By night, I bellydance my heart away and am a badass
gamer(or at least I like to think I am. Hey it's my world, remember?) I'm addicted to various
games, particularly Portal, Gears of War, and the Assassins Creed series...oh and Half-life. I'm
also a sucker for movies like Terminator 2, Aliens, Predator, as well as comic book movies.

In my spare time I cosplay as well as direct an all girl cosplay group created by me. Batman is
my hero, or rather superhero.....that's not up for debate.:-) He's a superhero that exudes
awesomeness..again not up for debate;-) As much as I love DC characters, I've been leaning
more towards Marvel characters as of late, but my true love lies with Image...and Robert
Kirkman lol. If you haven't read his books, you should. The Walking Dead, Invincible....just
genius work :-) Hmm as for art... I'd go with Frank Cho 110%. The beauty and curvature of his
art is breathtaking. Have you checked out his crosshatching? Holy Crap! It'll blow your mind..
no, really! It will. To top it all off the guy is a sweetheart and I am forever indebted to him.

Anyone needing to contact ivy for modeling assignments can contact
her on her facebook page

Disclaimer * No Cho or Hughes books were harmed in the shooting of this photo* ;-) Those are
my books that are bagged and boarded.
Also, the comics that I am on are tons of extra/duplicate comics from a collection that were
already damaged. I just want everyone to know for sure that I value comics just like any other
collector of them and was ok with doing this shot after having the above information disclosed to
me. :-)

EARL FERGUSON, wildlife artist

In this blog post i wanted to post a few of the prints i've designed dedicated
to animals, sometimes wildlife can be some of the funnest subjects to draw
and you get to experiment with alot of different cool colors and textures

One of my all time favorite animals has always been the majestic tiger, it's
actually almost impossible to not make a cool tiger design

With this wolf design i went with a completely graphic look, this was
a wolf head i originally sold as clipart so it's probably been printed
on alot of cool stuff over the years.

This print was done with my mother in mind, she absolutely loves
elephants and i wanted to do a simple design that would work in
her decor

What's funny about this design "orange turkey" is that it's my all time
most viewed design on the google search engine, go figure

I know roosters are very popular for kitchen decor and i
basically wanted to have some fun and see what i could
do with a rooster design and this is what i came up with.

This design was originally designed for a t-shirt print, i
loved it so much i removed some of the text elements of
it and made it into a cool stand alone tiger print

the house cat, not actually wildlife but i thought i would include this
piece just because i loved the shading effect on it, lol.

aawwhh, the koala bear, who's doesn't love em? this was a
oil rub painting with color pencil highlights, it's a cool
technique i might try again in the future

i have these and many other designs available as prints
sold on imagekind, just click on the link below to
check them out

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Well, it'll be that time of year again before you know it, Halloween has always
been a ton of fun for us, especially for artists, because what is funner than drawing
pictures of witches, monsters, ghouls and zombies? And nothing sums up
Halloween better than my brother's artwork, here is a gorgeous Halloween
Witch picture he drew, alot of people thinks his work is all computer shading but it's actually
color pencils, he is a modern day master of his medium for sure.

Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice
Take the chance and roll the dice
Ride with the moon in the dead of night
This is Halloween......soundtrack

What happens to a fast witch on a slow broom? She flies off the handle.
Do witches stay home on weekends? No. They go away for a spell
Why do witches use brooms to fly on? Because vacuum cleaners are too heavy...

If you would like to check more of Lyndal's awesome work here is the link to his
facebook page........

Another piece done by Lyndal Ferguson, he just does a killer job on anything he draws,
whether it's a sexy pinup or a scary monster, but one of the coolest things he draws
is werewolves and this one here is a real peach, awesome huh?

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin'.
I see bad times today.
Don't go around tonight.
Well, it's bound to take your life.
There's a bad moon on the rise.
Bad Moon Rising....CCR

Where does a werewolf sit in the theater?  Anywhere he wants to!
What happened when the werewolf swallowed a clock? He got ticks.

One of my favorite movie monsters is the Creature From the Black Lagoon, this green
stylized print of old fish face was actually done in Coreldraw, which i seem to use
alot these days.

Why did Frankenstein squeeze his girlfriend to death?  He had a crush on her.
How did Dr Frankenstein pay the men who built his monster?  On a piece rate.
Who did Frankenstein take to the prom?  His ghoul friend.

This piece was a ton of fun to draw, i wanted to draw a cute, bummed out Frankenstein
Monster, he's bummed out because he never gets any treats because everyone runs
from him when he makes it to their front door, would you give Franky a break and
fill his pumpkin with candy? If you loved Halloween like we do, sure you would.

I wanted to draw an old school black cat for this Halloween print. After i drew him
i added the yellow moon which i think compliments him really well.

In this piece i wanted to draw a tribute to the most iconic Halloween symbol there is, the
Halloween Pumpkin, I'm really pleased with how this one turned out with the splatter effect
and orange tones.

This piece was actually a t-shirt design done for a local police "drinking & driving"
program which i always thought had a cool Halloween vibe to it.

And in closing i wanted to add one more cool pic from Lyndal Ferguson, this
was a piece he did for FTD RADIO, i always thought this was a really
cool one, here is the link to their website.....

Killian Curse's band.....THE NIGHTMARES

to drop me a message and we would be happy to share...

LET ME BE FRANK....

FRANKENSTEIN'S MONSTER,
now really, what is cooler than that and what really makes a better illustration? When we were growing up , me and my brother loved all the old Universal Monster Films and all the great Hammer Films as well, i think two of the best actors ever are Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. But i think my all time favorite monster movie is Frankenstein. The image of Frankenstein's Monster is something i've always loved, whether it was comic books, movies, cartoons and especially Halloween decorations. Below is one of the coolest illustrations ever of Frankenstein's Monster drawn by my brother, Lyndal Ferguson, creator of Doctor Bang......

To check out more of his amazing work here is the link to his facebook page......

“Satan has his companions, fellow-devils, to admire and encourage him; but I am solitary and detested.”
Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

Below is an illustration i did of Frankenstein's Monster, called the Green Terror.....

Run for your lives, "It's Alive!!!", it's my take on the iconic monster. behold the Green Terror as the Frankenstein Monster comes lurking from the woods to terrorize your small town.

here is the link to check out my art print....

This awesome black & white piece was drawn by
Fernando Ignatius Martin , he has a huge collection of
horror artwork on his facebook page, check out all his
killer stuff on the link below.....

“If I cannot inspire love, I will cause fear!”

this green toned print is dedicated to the second coming of Frankenstein's Monster, so everyone go get those torches back out and lets light this one up....

here is one my brother, Lyndal Ferguson drew years ago and i colored it and
made an art print of it

i drew this franky last year, i would love to draw a
whole volume of just halloween clipart.

This is a Frankenstein's Monster skateboard i have for sale in my zazzle store

this was just a quick sketch i did and made it into a facebook comment design
